Research Funding

Funds are available to support research in areas of interest, such as:

  • Pediatric Research

  • Women's Health

  • Geriatrics

  • Orthopedics

  • Psychiatric Care

  • Cancer Research

  • And a limited amount of unrestricted funding

The services of WMREF are made available to all medical practitioners, medical residents, and other recognized medically and scientifically qualified investigators in the Wichita area.

In order to give new research a timely start, board policy directs that the majority of available research funds go towards providing "seed money" for promising new projects.
