Limited funds are available to support research in areas of interest such as:

Pediatric Research
Women's Health
Diabetes
Geriatrics
Orthopedics
Psychiatric Care
Sickle Cell Anemia
Cancer Research
And a limited amount of unrestricted funds

The services of WMREF are made available to all medical practioners, medical residents, and other recognized medically and scientifically qualified investigators in the Wichita area.

In order to give new research a timely start, board policy directs that the majority of available research funds go toward providing "seed money" for promising new projects.
